We slept in a bit relaxing and enjoying our last full day of this section in the Sierras.
With only about 11 miles to hike for the day, we took our time enjoying the views.
We came across some pink snow that we heard was a type of algae that can survive in the snow.
We passed a few more lakes throughout the day, but it was pretty windy and only a few small trout were caught.
The trail stayed up on a ridgeline for a while giving us great views of the snow covered mountains in the distance.
We made an early camp a few miles from the trailhead to Mammoth, settling in for our 11th consecutive night in the mountains eager to get to town for some real food and beer!
