We decided to hike fewer miles and relax on trail to avoid some of the holiday bustle in town. We climbed over Silver Pass and then spent some time relaxing by Squaw Lake.

After some time we decided to hike more. We passed some more lakes and creeks.

We eventually hiked up to Lake Virginia.

As we reached the lake it began to sleet and thunder.

We quickly set up our tent to hide from the weather and called it a night.
