Woke up to a cold morning in the upper 30s, but the sun coming out and a decent climb out of camp warmed us up.

We had to navigate a lot of blow downs on this section.

After the climb the trail ran along the side of a high ridge giving us nice views of the mountains in the distance.

It got cloudy around midday….

We came across this little guy curled up in the shade.

We gathered water from fox mill spring then camped nearby. There were remnants of an old homestead. A couple collapsed shacks and an old pickup truck.

Only a couple more days until we enter the Sierras!
