Day 4 3/28

by | Mar 30, 2021 | Pacific Crest Trail | 6 comments

We woke up before dawn to get an early start on a day that would see us gaining over 2,000 ft of elevation.

We worked our way up through the hills passing through brush, bushes and cacti.

It’s been too cold for most wildlife to be out but we did see this little guy.

As we continued climbing near 6,000 feet, the vegetation changed to the grass and pines trees of the high desert.

Around 6,000 ft we started to see patches of snow mixed in, creating a beautiful scene on the mountain top.

We ended the day in the small mountain town of Mt Laguna. We ate, resupplied and saw the longest mountain lion ever!
