We woke up to a cold and gray morning as we packed up and left Aqua Dulce. The PCT actually cuts through the town so we had to road walk a few miles.
Eventually, we were able to hike back up into the hills.
We wound our way through the hills passing through areas of red sage brush mixed in with green bushes and trees.
Rain threatened in the afternoon, so we donned our rain gear.
The rain mostly missed us; there was just a bit of drizzle here and there. The clouds eventually broke a bit and let some sun in to warm us up.
This was an old sign for some kind of trail running race.
We called it a night after a light over 23 miles: our longest day so far!
