This morning we left camp early eager to reach Big Bear Lake.

On our way we saw some wild donkeys (Unfortunately, they’re very small in this photo, but the mom is in the center.).

We only had about 7 miles to cover, so we reached the highway to hitch to Big Bear around 9-9:30am. We got a ride from a nice woman who had just adopted a kitten for her daughter. I got to hold the kitten!

Sean finally got the frame to fix his pack!

We ate a delicious second breakfast at Teddy Bear Restaurant then went to the International Traveler’s House Hostel. We spent the majority of the day catching up on chores. We’re looking forward to getting back on the trail tomorrow!
