Pacific Crest Trail
After several years of planning and preparing, we are finally ready to step out on the Pacific Crest Trail! We’ll be hitting the trail on March 24th at the southern terminus on the Mexican border in Campo California. We’ll post updates here, as often as we are able. Happy Trails!

This morning we began hiking uphill towards Donohue Pass. Today, we enter Yosemite National Park! The scenery already started to look a little different. There was a little bit of snow near the top of the pass but not much. We climbed down several thousand feet until...

We decided to hike fewer miles and relax on trail to avoid some of the holiday bustle in town. We climbed over Silver Pass and then spent some time relaxing by Squaw Lake. After some time we decided to hike more. We passed some more lakes and creeks. We eventually...
Day 65 5/28/2021
We started our morning with a cup of coffee brewed on a wood burning stove inside VVR's little store/restaurant. We picked up a few extra days of food to make it to our next resupply point, Mammoth Lakes. Then after packing up, we realized that in a couple days we...
Day 64: 5/27/2021
We saw the sun rise by Sallie Keyes and Heart Lakes this morning before climbing Selden Pass. This pass had the least snow yet! One of Sean's trekking poles broke, so he fashioned a new stick. On the other side of the pass, we took a break while Sean fished. We then...
