The trail started off pretty easy in the morning, though it did start raining after a couple hours.

After crossing some train tracks, the trail turned uphill.

The top of the ridgeline was full of boulders and was a pretty good scramble up, over and around them.

After coming down from the ridge, the trail wound down through some farmland.

Finally made it into Boiling Springs. I met up with a couple thru hikers, Fresh and Karaoke. We went to a tavern and met a retired pilot that takes in hikers and puts them up at his house for free.  So the three of us stayed there for the night.  It was a really nice house with a pool table, foosball and maybe the nicest shower on the trail.
