Got a decent start, leaving at 7am this morning.  Despite the dry forecast,  it drizzled off and on all morning. Fresh, Karaoke and Fifty pushed ahead with plans for a big 30+ mile day.  I had a more modest 22 mile day planned.

I passed a sign that graded the difficulty of the AT…

There was a neat little rock bridge crossing a stream.

At the top of a ridgeline, I found an awesome campsite. It was level, covered in soft pine needles and had a fire pit complete with reclining stone seats!

Unfortunately it was too early to stop for the night,  but I did sit and eat lunch before moving on.

All throughout the morning,  I heard artillery fire off to the side of the ridgeline. Turns out, it was a National Guard training exercise. Some one said it was Fort Indiantown.

The trail started to get a bit rocky, a trend that would continue the further into PA I got.

Towards the end of the day,  I found a small bridge about 20 ft over Rausch creek. I looked down and saw some trout, so I stopped and fished for a bit. Ended up catching a couple small,  but very pretty, native Brook Trout.

After fishing ,  I hiked a couple more miles and stealth camped in a nice stand of pines near a little creek.
