This morning we took our time packing before grabbing some food at Morning Thunder Cafe.
Sean was able to order some gear online that we couldn’t find on town, and we found a spot to ship it. We also were able to borrow some pliers to fix one of our tent doors. One of our tent doors has been wide open for days!
We got to Buck’s Lake Road around 1pm and climbed about a thousand feet.
The trail wound up and down for several miles through forest and ridgeline. Down below we could see some lakes that looked great for swimming, but the PCT continued to follow the ridgeline.
In the evening the trail descended until we reached a cliff with fantastic views. We set up camp and called it a night. Tomorrow, we’ll hike through Belden.
