Immediately upon leaving camp, we climbed over the saddle overlooking Noble Lake. The ascent was free from snow, but there were multiple snow patches on the other side.

The trail went up and down several times over the next few miles until we encountered Highway 4 and trail magic!! Thanks so much to all of the trail angels we met today!

We took a break for a few hours at the trail magic before continuing our hike. A few miles past Kinney Lake there was a steep chute over which we had to traverse.

We hiked several more miles before making camp.
