This morning Grumpy Bear’s gave us a ride to the trail around 8am. We started hiking on relatively flat land for the first few miles, but hiking with a bear can for the first time was killer!
We took a break after a few miles to relax by the Kern River. Sean tried out his new fishing rod and even caught a fish!
After an hour or so we hiked on through some exposed meadows and burned landscape. We climbed over a number of fallen trees.
Later in the afternoon we finally made it passed all of the trees we hiked the last few miles to camp and for the third time today crossed the Kern River.
Did Sean catch that fish or was that the bait? Hope they get bigger as you get deeper into the woods. Tight lines!
