Day 43 5/6/2021

We stayed in Kernville to resupply and start our planning for the upcoming Sierra section in a few days.

Kernville is a nice little town along the banks of the Kern River. There is a lot of rafting services here, and the river sees a lot of activity. While crossing a bridge we saw kayaker up stream and on the other side watched a woman land a nice rainbow trout.

We ended the day at the Kernville Saloon. It had an old west feel to it and actually had swinging Saloon doors!

We’re excited to get back on trail and finish the last couple days of the desert section!

Thanks! 🙂 It’s crazy to think in a few month’s, we’ll have been out here longer than we were married at home. We’re having a great time and are glad we can share it with everyone back home.

Hope you were able to have breakfast at the Diner. There’s one in Kernville, Lake Isabella, and Mt Mesa. I grew up in the area.
