Day 32: 4/25/21

This morning we slept in until 6:30-7am. We had breakfast at the KOA and then decided to hitch to Acton for food. We got a ride from a super nice travel nurse who dropped us off at the Original Acton Market. We were able to get a pretty good resupply and plan out some of our mileage for the next week. We ended up talking with the owner and some of the workers for about an hour while we organized our food bags.

After resupplying we waited at an intersection for some time before we were finally able to get a hitch down the road to the trail. Soon after getting back on trail, we passed the completion monument.

We then climbed up for several miles.

Eventually, we passed through a super long, dark tunnel. On the other side were Vasquez Rocks!

After walking a few miles through Vasquez Rocks County Park, the PCT led us into Aqua Dulce, CA. We camped in a lot around a bunch of other hikers and went to Maria Bonita Mexican Restaurant for margaritas!

Los Angeles is the location of my last close encounter with Tequila. You need to ask Uncle Bill about it some time. I think I like this trail hiking thing. There are bars on the trail! My kind of hike, although it will probably become less populated as you go north. I think I would just hike the PCT around LA. A wilderness pub crawl is for me. ? Keep up the great work!
