We slept in a little bit to recover from our night hike adventure but still woke up in time to see a great sunrise.
The trail started out in a very overgrown section of previously burned forest. It would stay thorny, brushy and overgrown much of the day.
There plenty of down trees as well.
We started to see views of the desert below that we would be hiking into.
We camped for the night in a Tipi at a KOA campground.
