The morning started with a threat of rain as I hit the trail.  It initially held off as I climbed up to Webster cliffs. By the time I made it up,  the wind really picked up as a storm blew closer.  I took some quick pictures before  continuing on, hoping to get up and over the peak before getting caught in the storm.

Moving on through the wind,  I continued up to the summit of Mt Jackson. I made it to the top, just a minute or two before the storm rolled over.

Luckily the wind was blowing hard enough to drive the rain horizontally. I got behind a bush and was protected enough to get my rain gear on.

The rain came fast and hard, soaking the trail and making the descent tricky.

The rest of the day kept me above the tree line as I entered the presidential range. It stayed windy,  but the rain at least let up.

The fog came and went all afternoon. Whole mountains seemed to disappear, only to reappear moments later.

I made it to Lakes of the Clouds hut just beneath Mt Washington in the late afternoon and joined Rabbit, Lakota  Karaoke, Spice and Luna.

We were able to get work for stay again. We hung our wet clothes up on a trail sign outside of the hut, creating a thru hiker Christmas tree.

We had a good time playing Yahtzee and cards before dinner,  resting up for the next days climb up Mt Washington.
