Started the day early with a plan to finish off back to back 25 mile days, hiking to Salisbury to get picked up by a hostel.

The trail began with a nice couple miles along the Housatonic river.

It was a cool, misty/foggy morning as I crossed a small pasture.

The trail began to climb up into the rocks again, just as a small thunderstorm rolled in.

I had to cross a flooded little stream halfway up the first hill. Luckily there were enough rocks/logs to carefully pick my way across without getting wet(ter)

At the top of the hill, I found a new pair of pants! They were a little big though…

I ended up running a bit short on food, so I called it a short day and had them pick me up at a closer road crossing. I got to Bearded Woods hostel, run by Hudson a 2x AT hiker  in early afternoon, took a shower and nap.
