With rain falling until noon, we decided to take a zero at the hostel to set up our two day, 50+ mile sprint to Damascus.

We napped, fished the trout stream out front, ate and watched movies in the common area.

It ended up being a good rest day before a long two day stretch.

The Standing Bear Resort hostel was great.  The people were friendly and everything was clean.  They may have the best showers we have seen along the trail so far.

They also had the coolest, smiling bear, toilet paper holder. The picture doesn’t really do it justice, but it looks like nothing would make him happier, than to give you some toilet paper!

In the morning they are going to drive us the half mile back to the trail head so we can jump right on.
